My 10 Random Songs

Ok, Pat did it, Dave did it and now I have to do it too:

  1. "The State I am In" - Belle and Sebastian

  2. "Cosmic Dancer" - T. Rex (Thanks, Pat!)

  3. "Innocent When You Dream" - Tom Waits

  4. "Charmed Life" - Divine Comedy

  5. "Fake Plastic Trees" - Radiohead

  6. "Norwegian Wood" - The Beatles

  7. "Hotel Yorba" - The White Stripes

  8. "Tangled up in Blue" - Bob Dylan (Probably the only Dylan song I know 90% of the words to.)

  9. "Dear Doctor" - The Rolling Stones

  10. "California Stars" - Billy Bragg and Wilco

Woah - that was waaaay harder than I thought it would be. I know, there should be a Beck song on there, but I have a hard time removing any Beck song from the album it's on. I also wanted to put in some My Morning Jacket and Damien Rice, but I can't separate their songs from their albums either - they are just one big organic piece. I'd definitely think about taking their albums to that desert island that I'll be exiled to some day.

Sophie had a great time Trick or Treating last night. She was squealing a lot and walked on her own for most of the night. She didn't seem to quite understand that we were not supposed to go into people's houses. She tried almost every time. I'm going to enjoy eating her candy! Northfielders give out good stuff. Her costume got rave reviews from the houses we went to. It looked very good in the street lights and is probably the safest costume ever created - unless someone were to go as a blinking street sight. Hmmmm....Anyway, if you've ever wondered what a tired discoball looks like, here it is.

Walking Talking Discoball

Well, here she is. Just as promised a year ago. A walking, talking discoball. My aunt thinks this costume was a stupid idea (of course, she thought birth control for her 16 year old daughter was stupid too and look where she is now!), but everyone else seems to think it's cute. I think it's clever and very cute. My mom did a great job. Maybe next year, Michael and I will have to dress up like ABBA when we take her out. This year, lack of planning and lack of ever conveying this idea to anyone prevented this. Oh well. It was almost clever! Wish us luck. She's been cranky the last couple of days, so I'm hoping she'll have fun tonight. I'll have fun chasing her anyway.
